Logos

The following are the logos abilities for the Shadow domain.

 

ABYSSAL GAZE
As a standard action, make a divine gaze attack against Will against a creature within Close (30 feet) range. If you hit, you deal potency 3 penetrating shadow damage to that creature, and suffers a -2 feat penalty to saving throws and cannot regain hit points by any means until the end of your next turn.

 

DARKVISION
You gain darkvision.

 

HIDE IN SHADOW
You can make stealth checks even while being observed, so long as there is at least some sort of shadow within 10 feet of you. You cannot hide in your own shadow.

 

SHADOWJUMP
While in shadow, as a move action, you can teleport to any other shadow you can see within 100 feet.

 

SHADOWSIGHT
Your darkvision can penetrate even supernatural darkness.

 

Shadow Prayer Descriptions

The following are the shadow prayers in alphabetical order.

 

BLACK TENTACLES
Classes: Inc, Pal, Pri
Domains: Shadow Phrase [Ground, Necrotic, Zone]
Utterance Time: Standard action
Range: Medium (100 feet)
Area: 10 foot radius
Duration: Brief Combat (5 rounds)
Defense: Reflex
Divine Inhibition: No
You utter some creepy dark words, and a field of black tentacles appears.
This prayer conjures a zone of rubbery black tentacles, each 10 feet long. These waving members seem to spring forth from the earth, floor, or whatever surface is underfoot—including water. They grasp and entwine around creatures that enter the area, holding them fast and crushing them with great strength.
When you utter this prayer, make a divine attack against Reflex for each creature in the area. If you hit, the target takes potency 3 necrotic damage and is immobilized until the end of your next turn.
Whenever a creature enters or ends its turn in the area, make a divine attack against Reflex that creature. If you hit, the target takes potency 3 necrotic damage and is immobilized until the end of your next turn. A creature can only be affected by this prayer once each round.
The tentacles are immune to damage and cannot be interfered with in any way.
All creatures treat the zone as difficult terrain.

 

BLINDNESS

Target: One creature
Duration: Permanent

Divine Inhibition: Yes
At your voice's command, the Divine snuffs out the sight of a creature.
Make a divine attack against the target. If you hit, the target becomes permanently blinded. (A blinded character cannot see. He takes a -2 penalty to all Defenses, moves at half speed, and halves all potency for exploration checks [min 1]. All checks and activities that rely on vision automatically fail. All opponents are considered to have total concealment (50% miss chance) to the blinded character.)

 

DARKFIRE

Domains: Shadow Word [Darkness]
Utterance Time: Standard action
Range: Close (30 feet)
Target: One creature
Duration: Brief Combat (5 rounds)

Divine Inhibition: Yes
You whisper a word of shadow, and the target becomes illuminated in eerily glowing black and purple flame.
For the duration, all attacks against the target have combat advantage, and the target cannot gain invisible and cannot benefit from a miss chance. (Attacks made against a creature that grants combat advantage are made with a +2 bonus. In addition, some abilities have additional effects if the target grants combat advantage.)

 

DARKNESS
Classes: Inc, Pal, Pri
Domains: Shadow Word [Darkness]
Utterance Time: Standard action
Range: Touch
Target: One object
Duration: Brief Exploration (5 hands)
Defense: None (object)
Divine Inhibition: Yes
You whisper shadowy words at an object, and it begins emitting darkness, swallowing the light.
This prayer causes an object to radiate shadowy illumination out to a 20-foot radius. All creatures in the area gain concealment (20% miss chance). Even creatures that can normally see in such conditions (such as with darkvision or low-light vision) have the miss chance in an area shrouded in supernatural darkness.
Normal lights (torches, candles, lanterns, and so forth) are incapable of brightening the area, as are light Force effects of lower grade. Higher grade light Force effects are not affected by darkness.
If darkness is uttered on a small object that is then placed inside or under a lightproof covering, the prayer’s effect is blocked until the covering is removed.
Darkness counters or dispels any [Light] or [Radiance] effect of equal or lower grade.
