The term "mox," or "moxen" for plural, is a general reference to a material.

The term mox refers to a physical, generally crystallized, solid form of a given Force. Much as how force elementals are creatures composed of a specific Force, so too are moxen the Force given physical forms, albeit in an inert gem or metallic material.
While each color of mox is given a different name, such as mox ruby, this is only a name and should not be taken to indicate that a mox ruby has anything in common with normal rubies, save for their color and name. While mox can be worked much like gems, it requires skill and dedication to do so, and is above the means of most individuals.
Because of their intrinsic ties to a Force, moxen have a variety of uses, and can be fashioned into several types of items that assist their wearer in accessing the proper Force.
In most cases, moxen are used as the base of jewelry, using a gem of the appropriate type and using various methods to imbed the mox into the heart of the gem. In very rare cases, a mox will be large enough to serve as the center of a piece without the need of supporting jewelry, but such items are incredibly rare.
The Moxen
All mox, of all varieties, give off a soft glow of their color; while noticeable, the light isn't bright enough to bring undue attention or act as a light source.
All mox is slightly warm to the touch, as though it were alive.
Mox Ruby
A physical crystallization of the Force of Magic, ruby mox pulses with an eerie red light.
