Technologist

"With the proper application of physics, nearly anything is possible."

Blah blah blah, you've heard this all before.

Class Features

Stuff.

Technologist Talent: At 10th level, and every two levels thereafter, the technologist learns a new ability. He may select one of the following special features; unless otherwise specified, each ability can be selected only once.

  • Antikytheran Mechanism (De): The technologist gains knowledge of the antikytheran mechanism device. (Prerequisites: Student level 16th+)
  • Percussive Maintenance (Te): As a standard action, you can deal 1d4 + your Strength modifier damage to a device you are holding to reduce its malfunction rate by 10%, to a minimum of 0%. You cannot use this ability on a device with the Expendable descriptor.
  • Randomize the Frequency (Te): When you use a device that deals energy damage, you can cause the device to instead deal damage of a different, randomly-selected energy type. Doing so increases the malfunction rate by an additional 5%; devices with the Expendable descriptor so modified have their malfunction rate increased by 10% instead.
    • Set Phasers to Stun (Te): When you use a device that deals energy damage, you can cause the device to deal that damage as subdual damage. (Prerequisites: Randomize the Frequency)
  • Feat: The technologist may gain a bonus feat in place of a talent.
