Organization: Anilikiotita
The Anilikiotita is an ancient organization, dating back to the time of the Kiltian Empire.
History
In the early days of Kolaita's religion, her clergy and paladinship were bound to oaths of nonviolence, swearing only to bring arms to bear against truly dire, immediate threats. However, not all threats to Her beliefs manifest on Adnez were so obvious, and thus She formed another religion, a sister religion to Her normal clergy.
Using virgin births as Her means of bringing the lives of those who would serve Her in this capacity, She forbade any of the chosen few from partaking in the rite of Deoridzo, giving these children no names and not allowing any to give them names; their reward for performing their deeds would the gift of a name after their deaths. Their lives would be spent in pursuit of evils, of dangers to anything Kolaita held dear.
Thus were the Anilikiotita born, and thus did they serve Kolaita for many centuries.
However, after Kolaita was slain by Ajora, Her clergy scattered and Her religion lost. Despite this, one of the Shards formed from her divine essence, an angel by the name of Golgathi, took up the mantle of the Anilikiotita. He directed them, and they continued their service to Kolaita's beliefs, though Kolaita had long since fallen... though it did not take long for them to realize that, in the absence of Kolaita, the reward that awaited them was nothing but an empty death, and an eternity spent in limbo, with no name nor means to be given any.
In their despair, however, the Anilikiotita saw opportunity: with no names, they were free of judgment by any deity or Saint that saw fit to pass judgment on their souls. They were free - truly free - to seek whatever means they desired, and suffer no eternal consequence for it. The majority of them turned to evil, and were eventually sought out by the Lucavi: though they had no names, they still had souls, and were capable of faith. The Anilikiotita became useful tools for the dark forces of the world.
Golgathi continued creating new members of the Anilikiotita, despite the turning of their majority, seeing now - more than ever - the need for their existence. The turned anilikiotita needed to be destroyed and brought to an end, and Golgathi saw them in the same light that Kolaita would have: a distant, shadowy threat, not an immediate one that warranted violence on the part of a being with a name. Thus more of their numbers were made, and they were charged with the duty of hunting down those like them, but that walked a dark path.
