Spells (A - C)

The following is an alphabetical list of Spells, from A to C. This page also includes spells that begin with a number.

ANALYZE MAGIC

Level: Mag Initiate
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 5 minutes
Range: Touch
Target: One touched Magic item
Duration: Instantaneous
Mana Cost: Mag (1 mp)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
Your glows glow with an eerie red light, as you perceive the ethereal magical threads that surround and suffuse an item, giving you insight into its powers and functions.
The spell determines all magic properties of a single magic item, including how to activate those functions (if appropriate), and how many charges are left (if any).
This spell has no effect on a Force item that is not Magical in nature, nor does it have any effect on any artifact, regardless of Force alignment.

Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 feet + 5 feet/2 levels)
Target: One creature
Duration: 1 round/level (D)
Mana Cost: Mag (16 mp)
Saving Throw: Will negates (Harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes
You imbue the target with a burst of speed, allowing them to move incredibly fast.
You grant the haste status to the target, but the target's movement speeds are increased by 60 feet, to a maximum of triple their base speed. In addition, the target gains a +6 haste bonus to their Initiative.
