The concept of Colianth is based loosely off of various oriental cultures, particularly Japan. Many of the locations are drawn from Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, which are probably property of Square Enix, but whatev.

Colianth

The nation of Colianth has stood for centuries against the test of time, forged in the fires of battle during the early days of the clavats, when the War of the Empty Moon ended with the signing of the Genji Pact. Colianth has a long history of keeping to itself, willing to trade with other nations but generally unwilling to get involved in the wars and conflicts of others.

The Land

Description

Home to gently rolling hills, vast stretches of open plains, lakes and rivers, bamboo forests, cypress swamps, and a small, cold mountain range, Colianth benefits from the geographical diversity of the whole of the continent of Distarin.

Climate and Weather

Distarin is comfortably north of the southern arctic circle, but not far enough north to attain tropical status: much of Colianth claims a temperate to subtropical climate. There is often at least a slight easterly breeze, and only the southern half of Colianth sees snow.
