Since beginning-less time, people have sought to discover the unknown. Braving the frontier and pushing past the boundaries of known civilization, explorers lead the way, learning to live in harsh terrain and survive inclement weather.

Game Rule Information

Akashics have the following game statistics.

Force Alignment: None.

Force Resistances: None.

Abilities: Intelligence, Constitution, and Bravery are among the most important attributes for an explorer, but Strength, Dexterity, and Perception also have their uses.

Starting Age: Simple.

T20

Hit Points at 1st Level: 15 + Con score.
Hit Points at Each Additional Level: 9 + Con modifier.
Healing Surges: 10 + Con modifier.
Defenses: Fort +2; Ref +2; Will +2; Det +2.
Stamina Gauge at 1st Level: 20 + Con score.
Stamina Gauge at Each Additional Level: 11 + Con modifier.
Stamina Reserves: 6 + Con modifier.

Design Notes

Let's talk about this for a minute, shall we?

There are a couple of flavors of exploration encounter. We've gone over this extensively in one of the test pages; I'm not going to rehash site exploration, here.

But what I want to talk about is overworld exploration encounters. Stuff that you run into during travel.

The d20 climb skill is... less than ideal.
