Magic Hammer and Sparks Magic A caster loses potency 3 mana. Psionics A manifester loses concentration and suffers a -4 power penalty to manifestation checks for the duration of the primary effect. Technology A student's devices increase their malfunction rate by 2d4 for the duration of the primary effect. Divine A petitioner loses 1d3 blessings (starting with highest grade) and suffers a -4 power penalty to petition checks for the duration of the primary effect. Void A nihilist gains half potency 1 void debt, to a maximum of one less than their max void debt. Nature A geomancer loses potency 1 flux and gains potency 1 stress against all suites. Time A chronist loses potency 3 quanta. Chaos An anarchist discards 1d4 whims. Blue A memeticist uses 1d4 to recharge memes, rather than 1d6, for the duration of the primary effect.
Against most NPCs and monsters, this secondary effect instead increases recharge values by 1; if increased to higher than 6, that ability cannot recharge.
