Mechanical Information

Downranking: You do not always have to use a special at its most powerful. If you choose to use a downranked special, you must account for the upgrades you are not utilizing for that particular downrank. You can only use this special in the presence of earth, stone, or similar material.
You lift a small chunk of earth and hurl it at a target. Your attack roll with this special is equal to a check with this special. This attack counts as a ranged attack.
If you hit, you deal earth damage to the target equal to a basic check with this special.

Knockback: When you use this special, you can spend an additional two tokens for each attack you make. If you do, if a target takes damage from this special, the target must make a Mettle check against each attack roll against it or else be pushed one hex, plus an additional hex for each 5 points by which the check failed.

Stonara: When you use this special, increase its token cost by 0 + 1/rank. If you do, you can create an additional rock, with which you can make an additional attack. You can divide the attacks from this special amongst a number of creatures equal to the number of attacks. Quakera: When you use this special, also make a basic check. All creatures that fail the Resistance check to avoid falling prone take that much earth damage.

Persistent: When you use this special, increase its token cost by 1 + 1/rank. If you do, this special gains a duration of 10 ticks. Every 10 ticks, all creatures in the area are affected by this special.

Pinning: Creatures that fail the Resistance check gain the Immobilized status, for a number of ticks equal to 0 + the amount by which they failed the check.

Strong Pin: If a creature with the Immobilized status takes damage from this special, the duration of the status is increased by the damage.

Improved Pinning: Increase the base duration of the Immobilized status this special causes by 5. You can take this upgrade multiple times.
